I went to Shanghai for 4 days with some university friends. We had a great time. :) If you like culture activities maybe Beijing has more to offer but I am sure you will love the city: its contrast between tradion and modernity, getting lost walking the city, sightseeing, partying (some clubs...more I went to Shanghai for 4 days with some university friends. We had a great time. :) If you like culture activities maybe Beijing has more to offer but I am sure you will love the city: its contrast between tradion and modernity, getting lost walking the city, sightseeing, partying (some clubs are expensive but worth it). Besides we had the opportunity to enjoy the tennis master cup and support our favourite players.close

This service apartment is connected to a hotel. Not a hostel. It is located just north of the bund. Every taxi driver knows this hotel. Its a bit of a walk to get to the subway, but ive taken a taxi almost every time. Frank is very helpful if you need him. Great value for the price. Its a bit of a walk to get to the subway, but ive taken a taxi almost every time. Frank is very helpful if you need him. Great value for the price. Its more suited of a couple, a single person, or business travellers. In room laundry and a psuedo kitchen... hotplate with a pan, but its good enough to make snacks etc. Its located in a very local area with a lot of little restaurants around. Definately will go back to it.close

If its a clear day, head up the TV tower ... view is fantastic For dinner in a restaurant call M on the Bund ... Make a reservation for night time. The restaurant is on the roof of a bar on the bund .. view is fantastic Nanjing road is the main shopping road in Shanghai ... runs from beside Peace Hotel down towards the peoples park. There is a Radisson Hotel facing onto the park. The top looks like there is a UFO parked there. Its a bar/restaurant thing ... a fantastic place to have a drink and enjoy the skyline of shanghaiclose

Well, if you say Shanghai is just a modern city, that is not true. It combines culture, heritage, history, fun, business all in one. It is just like a melty pot. There are lot more interesting to discover and definately worth to come several times. Shanghai is a really exciting city and although it is more expensive than other Chinese cities, it is well worth a visit. The shopping is great if you know where to go. Shaghai for us was a city of "could have beens." The gracefull Bund could have kept us busy for an entire day had the rain not turned the streets into a quagmire. The gracefull Bund could have kept us busy for an entire day had the rain not turned the streets into a quagmire. The futuristic Pudong would have made a fantastic desktop for my laptop had it not been covered in inpenetrable fog. The famed Xiangyang markets could have provided clothes for a year had it not been seemingly demolished. Visiting during Winter we hoped to avoid the crowds of the summer period and get the best of the city. Unfortunately, the crowds remained and our situation was compounded by awful weather which, of course, lifted as soon as we left. Shanghai; a great city, if the weather allowsclose

Shanghai Hai Gang Hotel 90%
the only problem with the staff was they didn:t speak much English. Otherwise, the place was wonderful. Airconditioned was a necessity, close to shopping and the subway, plenty of places to eat. Recommende it hightly.

1A wonderful place! Such a quiet, cute place in a city like a monster. The differences between city and hotel couldn´t b bigger. Can´t find enough words: oasis in the desert, paradies in the hell... find out yourself!

A Live Design Hotel (Jun An) 80%
This was a very useful, standard hotel. Clean, either new or recently renovated, nice rooms, very centrally located, free internet. I don't have anything negative to say about it.
